About me: Hi! I'm Rednar, founder of Storylace. I wanted to create this platform ever since I started reading fantasy books and wanted to see art from the stories I read. I'm a creative spirit, entrepreneur and software engineer. I grew up playing video games, reading books and enjoying music (rock is my favorite genre and folk metal my favorite subgenre). I'm curious and an eternal student at heart. I was born and raised in Mexico, where I obtained my college degree in Computer Science. I studied for a Master's Degree in Colchester, UK. In 2015 I came to the US to work at Google in Silicon Valley and I left my job there on 2022 to work full time on Storylace. And More...

What makes me love a book? That it's fast paced and imaginative. I like being surprised and transported to new worlds. I love feeling like I'm right there with the characters, living all the adventures with them. When it comes to nonfiction books I especially like ones that are able to open my eyes and help me look at the world and our society from new perspectives.

Other interests/hobbies: My current hobbies include yoga, tennis, music (I sing and play the violin), hiking and dancing. Interests include tech, arts, nature, business and sociology, among others.

This book is a timeless gem! I can now see why Isaac Asimov is considered a legend of the sci-fi genre. This book puts the reader very quickly in the middle of an exciting space opera. The stakes are incredibly high right from the start. I found myself rooting for the Foundation people at all times, it's funny how the author makes you care a lot about that organization. You can almost feel some patriotism for this fictional place, that's how good the story is.

The story and world building are masterful, especially considering that this book was first published in 1951. However, the book did not age well in many regards, and it's completely understandable, that's the beauty of reading old books. For one, there are no women in this book (except for one very minor secondary character) which feels really weird. Secondly, I feel like this book could have

The first half of this book was very interesting, the second half was absolutely incredible. For the first 150 pages or so I felt confused and intrigued, but after that everything starts making a lot of sense and it becomes easier to identify who is who and what's going on. Characters are often called in at least 3 or 4 different ways, and there are at least 18 important characters, so it takes just a bit of time to get used to them, that's also why the first half can be a bit tough.

I would say this is one of those books that can be very hard to read if you don't pay close attention. For me it wasn't easy to breeze through the pages, but it's not because it's slow paced or it's not good, it's because I felt like I had to pay very close attention. The story's

Awesome book! It feels almost like watching a vlog of an activist that's traveling to very distant places to witness fascinating biodiversity. It features the adventures of Douglas Adams and Mark Carwadine visiting these super interesting places across Africa, Asia and Oceania. Keep in mind they did their travels in the mid 1980s! The world was very different back then so that also makes the book super interesting.

The book focuses on different endangered species in different chapters. It's different from a vlog in that, well, it's not a vlog, it's a book. So in exchange for the visuals and video-editing that accompanies the vlogs of this kind of modern day content creators, instead we get the clever, funny and inspiring reflections and narrations of Douglas Adams. I loved that, it felt like reading through a personal journal of their adventures.

There is an underlying theme of optimism for "brighter days ahead",
