We love supporting human artists! All our art in Storylace is completely created by humans, compensating creatives for their awesome work. We're concerned about the current unethical use of AI image generators trained on their work without consent or compensation. While we recognize the potential usefulness of ML tools in artists' workflows, we first and foremost believe in fair treatment, justice and the recognition of human artists. We're committed to championing and supporting human-created art, as we've already done and plan to continue doing, because it's something worth fighting for.

Storylace was born from a small idea I had back when I was a teenager reading fantasy books for fun. I wanted to see illustrations from the stories I read, both while I was reading them and after I finished the book. I vividly recall navigating the web in search of illustrations inspired by those stories. I thought about how cool it would be if a platform of book-inspired art existed. As I grew older, and grew personally and professionally, that simple idea evolved into something bigger and more exciting. A project to bring together readers, authors, artists and booklovers from all walks of life into a fun, wholesome community that celebrates books and art.
Beyond my love for books, I believe that my love for video games, music, illustration, tabletop games, movies and other forms of art and entertainment had a strong influence on the concept of Storylace. I've witnessed firsthand the immense good that comes from different books & art communities and I’m happy to be of service in using technology to help strengthen them.
Storylace carries the vision of a happier world. Education is vital to make the world a better place, and reading books happens to be a great source of education and emotional intelligence. Thus, you can count on Storylace to be a place where there is always conversation, learning, growth and laughter.
