What makes me love a book? Tl;dr Character building, and difficult situations or decisions with no clear right/wrong. Some decisions are hard to make, and you can't know what you would do until you're in that situation. I like it when a book puts me into those situations vicariously with a character who I feel like I've built a relationship with and know on a deep level... Also complex universe building with nuances and miscellanea to give depth and realism.

Other interests/hobbies: Teaching English, adjusting accents to General American, juggling, drawing, being my kids' best friend, teddy bear and monster/zombie (Leaving out the Oxford comma hurts me but I want to break the habit).
