What Language is That?

How would you describe that feeling of hearing complex-sounding words, but not understanding them, and then suddenly realizing it's another language? When we stumble upon a person or character that speaks a different language from everybody else, it is a sign of a different background. With that comes an unimaginably rich source of different stories, learnings and perspectives. It is interesting to observe and study characters speaking foreign languages in stories. Try your best to understand them and you may unpack some hidden wisdom and magic.

Add books you've read that feature a character speaking or reading in a language that's different from the main character's. The book may be non-fiction as well.
